Jody Rasch and Biology: Rasch edits and transforms biological images from electron microscopy, discovering their underlying patterns. He creates images that are representative and abstracted then goes beyond the science to convey broader concepts and truths. His Thought series, for instance, explores our rationality and helps us understand how we interact with the world, Healing shows us how we communicate with one another, Beauty-Skin Cell shows us we are more alike than we realize, while Sight  shows how we take in the information we need to interpret our environment. Disease explores our relationship with nature and the duality of our existence via images of deadly diseases, such as COVID-19, which, while beautiful to look at, belie their destructive qualities
